830 Design, LLC

Wellesley Interior Designer Christine Velyvis has launched 830 Design, LLC, a full-service, residential interior design firm.

After spending the bulk of her career working in television, Christine left her Production Management position at MTV Networks in Manhattan to raise her children. She returned to her Boston roots for her husband’s business and freelanced for New England Sports Network. She then made the decision to follow her passion by attending design school.

Christine completed the Residential Interior Design program at Boston Architectural College, which she supplemented with courses at RISD. During her last semester, she was asked to stage a home on the Wellesley Kitchen and Home Tour, a role close to her heart as she was a former Tour Co-Chair. From there, job requests began to trickle in from friends and neighbors - providing her with hands on experience.

Over the years, Christine has completed several large projects in Boston, Wellesley, and Cape Cod. She continuously travels to attend design expositions, lectures, classes and show houses in order to keep pace with an ever-changing industry. She prides herself on really listening to the homeowner’s vision, while providing her expertise. Although her personal style is transitional, she has studied and created beautiful spaces that run the gamut from modern to traditional. She stays true to the concept that at the end of the day, it’s the client, not the designer, who lives in the home.
